the beginning of my time in italy was spent in cinque terre, an area in the northwest made up of five small villages.  i apologize if any of my labeling is incorrect.  the villages are hard to keep straight in my head and they are not the easiest to research.

homage to the beasts

evie, ludwig, gracie, bill, pippin, frank, sal y pimienta, lucy, and joon immortalized in free-motion embroidery in my first quilt.  i have a feeling there will be more to come.  it was really fun except for the never-ending feud between the metallic thread and my machine.  the quilt is about 40x40 inches 

off runway and pet quilt

here are a few pieces to the quilt i'm working on.  there are nine squares of my pets.  the animals were painted and machine embroidered.  there is doll hair sewn onto them and some will be needle felted also.
